Dr Navanil Biswas is an experienced Interventional Cardiologist with over 15 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine. Currently a Full-Time Consultant at Peerless Hospital, Kolkata, he has previously worked at leading institutions including NRS Medical College, R.G. Kar Medical College, RTIICS and Apollo Multispeciality Hospitals, Kolkata.
His expertise spans the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, coronary angiography and angioplasty, complex coronary interventions, hypertension, heart failure and cardiac rhythm disorders. He also has specialised training in cardiac devices and electrophysiology, alongside experience in advanced cardiac imaging techniques that help guide treatment decisions.
Dr Biswas has pursued advanced learning in complex coronary interventions through an observership and preceptorship programme at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, USA. His clinical interests include modern catheter-based treatments and the use of advanced imaging and physiological assessment to support informed decisions during coronary interventions.

Dr Biswas is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS–IBHRE). He is also a Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS) and holds European Examination in Core Cardiology (EECC) certification.

Dr Biswas’s commitment to cardiology is deeply personal. His father’s unexpected heart attack during his school years, and the subsequent recovery, helped inspire his journey into cardiovascular medicine. That experience shaped his appreciation of the impact heart disease has on an entire family.

Dynamic and accomplished Interventional Cardiologist with over 15 years of experience across premier medical institutions including NRSMCH, RGKMCH, and Narayana Hrudalaya – Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences (NH-RTIICS). Previously associated with Apollo Multispeciality Hospitals, Kolkata, he is currently attached to Medica Superspeciality Hospital, Kolkata, and has recently joined Peerless Hospital, Kolkata, while pursuing a Fellowship in Device and Electrophysiology (EP).
He possesses extensive expertise in complex coronary interventions, advanced cardiac imaging, and cutting-edge catheter-based therapies. Widely recognized both nationally and internationally, he has made significant contributions through research publications, conference presentations, and authorship in leading cardiology textbooks.
Fluent in English, Bengali, Hindi, and basic German, he is known for combining clinical excellence with strong research acumen and a compassionate, patient-centred approach to care.
He is an active Member of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the Cardiological Society of India (CSI), and is a proud Don Bosco alumnus.
